Paintable Pictures Custom Photo Portrait Kit
Best for: Buyers who want to turn a personal photo into a paint by number portrait. The kit’s photo-based tools create a design for one or two people, making it a more personalized option than a preprinted portrait.
The package includes two blank canvases, 48 curated colors, brushes, and the tools used to create the designs. It can produce up to two 8 x 10-inch paintings, so it may also suit someone who wants to make a pair of related gifts or keepsakes.
Why it stands out: It is the only listed kit that starts with the buyer’s own photo. The software crops and zooms the image for a portrait format.
Limitation: Each canvas is 8 x 10 inches, and the described portrait format is for up to two people. Choose another option if you want a larger preprinted design or a portrait with more people.
EnLvYY Exotic Woman Portrait Kit
Best for: Adults and teens seeking a large, preprinted portrait activity. The 16 x 20-inch canvas provides a bigger working area than the smaller kits in this selection.
The set includes a numbered canvas, high-pigment acrylic paints that do not require mixing, three brushes, reference paper, and two sets of hooks. Its clearly marked sections are intended to make it approachable for beginners, while the finished portrait can serve as wall art.
Why it stands out: This is a straightforward choice for shoppers who want a ready-to-paint portrait rather than a custom photo process. Quick-drying paint is a listed feature.
Limitation: The canvas is unframed, and the kit does not include a frame. Consider display needs before choosing it.
MAXBYE Fashion Lady Portrait Kit
Best for: Beginners who prefer a fashion-inspired portrait on a medium-size canvas. At 12 x 16 inches, it is smaller than the 16 x 20-inch EnLvYY and JATOK options.
The kit includes an unframed canvas, three brushes, paints, a pair of hooks, and self-adhesive cardboard. The listing also states that it provides 30% extra paint. Its bright canvas and simple lines are described as helping users distinguish sections and follow the design.
Why it stands out: Choose this kit if a smaller portrait format and included extra paint are priorities. It is designed as a screen-free craft activity and a finished home decoration.
Limitation: The canvas is unframed. It is a preprinted fashion design, not a kit for converting a personal photo.
JATOK Elegant Woman In Black Portrait
Best for: Buyers looking for an elegant, larger portrait design for a creative activity or home display. The 16 x 20-inch canvas matches the larger size offered by EnLvYY.
JATOK describes the canvas as having clear numbered sections and provides labeled paint pots. The format is intended for beginners as well as experienced painters, and the finished artwork can be displayed or given as a gift.
Why it stands out: It offers a specific portrait subject and a large canvas, making it a good alternative when the buyer wants a ready-made design rather than a custom photo portrait.
Limitation: The provided product details do not specify the number of brushes or whether a frame is included. Check the listing details if those items are essential.
YOUMAYSTORY Four Black Cat Portrait Canvases
Best for: Cat lovers who want animal-themed paint by number décor rather than a human portrait. The set contains four 8 x 12-inch framed paintings featuring black cats and green plants.
Accessories include four paint sets, four groups of regular brushes, an easel, a foldable wash cup, and 10 additional detail brushes. Those fine brushes are intended for small features such as fur texture, leaf veins, and outlines.
Why it stands out: It is the only multi-canvas option here and supplies extra detail brushes for intricate areas. The framed format is also distinct from the unframed human portrait kits.
Limitation: This is a cat-and-plant set, not a human portrait kit or a custom pet-photo service. Choose it only if the included subject suits your project.
Buying Guide: How To Choose A Paint By Number Portrait
Do you want a personal photo or a preprinted subject?
Choose a custom-photo kit if the portrait needs to depict a specific person or memory. Paintable Pictures is designed for one or two people and includes two canvases. For a set subject, compare the portrait theme, canvas size, and included supplies instead of expecting to upload your own image.
What canvas size works for your project?
The listed human portrait canvases range from 12 x 16 inches to 16 x 20 inches, while the custom kit makes two 8 x 10-inch paintings. A larger canvas provides more area to paint; a smaller one may be easier to fit in a compact display space. Confirm the measurements before buying.
Which supplies and display details matter?
Check whether brushes, paint, reference paper, hooks, and a frame are included. EnLvYY and MAXBYE are explicitly unframed. JATOK’s supplied details do not confirm framing or brush quantity. The YOUMAYSTORY set includes framed canvases and several painting accessories.
Is the kit suitable for a beginner?
Numbered sections and corresponding paints make these kits structured activities, and several product listings describe them as beginner-friendly. For fine details, consider whether extra brushes are included. Plan for time and patience: the number system guides color placement, but completing a detailed image still requires careful painting.
